NOC SERVICE PROVIDERS

Also known as a “network management center”, a network operations center or NOC is one or more places from which network management or network monitoring and control is exercised over a telecommunication, computer or satellite network. NOCs are employed by universities, business organizations, government agencies and public utilities that oversee complex networking environments requiring high availability. In order to avoid degraded service, NOC personnel are there to monitor one or several networks for certain conditions requiring special attention. More than one NOC may be operated by the organizations either to manage various networks or to provide geographic redundancy in the event of one site becoming unavailable.\ In order to ensure the smooth functioning of the network, an NOC engineer has several duties to perform.
